This supergroup includes Mary Timony (Helium), Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney, Portlandia), Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney), and Rebecca Cole (The Minders). This may have officially replaced Skying by The Horrors as my favorite record of the year.
• Freaking Out is the new EP from Toro Y Moi . It’s out on Carpark Records. It is on green vinyl. It is very cool. If you get it from Insound.com, it comes with a free keychain.

• Mister Heavenly is Honus Honus of Man Man, Nicholas Thorburn ofIslands and The Unicorns, and Joe Plummer of Modest Mouse and The Shins. Out of Love is out on  Sub Pop Records.
• Charles Bradley is an amazing singer with an amazing story. You can read some of it over at Wikipedia. Much love to Gabriel Roth Daptone Records for giving the man a chance. We are all better for it.
