Notes:
- The National are working on a new album. They are also on tour with The Antlers this spring. They’ll be playing Bonnaroo, among other dates.
- The Big Pink and A Place to Bury Strangers will be appearing at Turner Hall in Milwaukee on Friday, 19 March 2010. 8pm show, $10.
- I Was Never Young was originally done by Supersytem
- I was pretty happy with the Art Brut song about The Replacements, followed by The Replacements song about Alex Chilton (from Big Star), followed by Big Star. It’s not often that bands lay their influences out quite that obviously, but it was fun for me.
- The New Pornographers will be releasing their new album, Together, on 04 May 2010 on Matador Records.
- Rory Erickson w/ Okkervil River will be releasing a new album, True Love Cast Out All Evil, on 20 April 2010, on Anti.
- Broken Social Scene will release their new album, Forgiveness Rock Record, on 04 May 2010 on Arts and Crafts.
- R.I.P. Chilly B from Newcleus.
- Local artists United Sons of Toil and Canyons of Static will be playing a show with King’s Horses at The Project Lodge on Friday 12 March 2010, 6:30pm, $5, all ages.
