• I am very tired today. I did a lot less planning and a lot more freestyling on the show today. I hope it did not disappoint.
• Spoon will be playing a few shows nearby: Thu 1 April @ Aragon in CHI. Fri/Sat 2-3 April @ First Avenue in Minneapolis. All dates with Deerhunter and Micachu & The Shapes. I am very, very excited for this show. **Update: Fri 2 Apr is sold out.
• Califone will be opening for Wilco at the sold-out show in Madison on Saturday, 20 February 2010. Had I known they were coming, I would have tried harder to get tickets.
• A Place To Bury Strangers will be playing with The Big Pink at Turner Hall in Milwaukee on Friday, 19 March 2010. 8pm show. $10. Excited to make this trip.
• Ted Leo + Pharmacists will be playing the High Noon in Madison on Sunday 14 March 2010. 8pm show. Tix $13 adv/$15 dos
• Cold Cave will be playing at The Project Lodge in Madison on Friday 26 February 2010, with Hair Police and Zola Jesus. See them now. They will probably not be coming back this way if they keep blowing up.
• Vampire Weekend will be playing on Tuesday 23 March 2010 at the Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee.
• Alec Ounsworth will be playing at the High Noon in Madison on Wednesday 24 February 2010. 8pm show. $12 adv/$14 dos.
• The Avett Brothers will be playing at Turner Ballroom in Milwaukee on Saturday 6 March 2010. 8pm show.
• Thanks to Dave Zero for letting me sub for his show, and for his awesome recommendations on albums by The Beach Boys & The Velvet Underground. I’m a fan of both bands, but haven’t owned these.
